Introduction: In class, we are learning about the table of contents in the magazines that have the final genre we chose. My final genre is Fashion, and I will be reviewing and analyzing these genre magazines. I tried to find different magazines with different representations for the table of contents to see more clearly how it's constructed. The chapters and main sections of your, in this case, magazine, are listed in the table of contents. An effective table of contents sets the tone for the rest of your work by showing your audience that it will be of the highest quality.

Photo Summary
All pictures/photos relate to the fashion, reasonable - fashion genre. Most TOC have models that represent fashion figures, part of their look, outfit, position and settings. Some have only things that relate to fashion, without people's involvement.
Fonts in all TOC follow the mood and atmosphere of the whole page. Font formats that are used are San Serif and Serif format.
Photos tend to be a background to the page, or take up the most space of the page. Photos bring emphasis and complement the pages.
Fonts
All TOC use different formats of fonts and in different ways.
Town & Country: uses only Serif format of fonts to create an old/retro and vintage atmosphere to the pages.

Town & Country vs. ELLE vs. VENICE
Similarities:
For the most part, all TOC used big format for the pictures that complemented the whole pages.
Each page followed its own theme, and it looked organized.
All of the articles had little description for the reader underneath the title for better understanding of the main topic.
Same target audience, however different approach to the appeal.
Differences:
Each magazine and TOC follow its own themed and created their own ideas.
Town & Country magazine, comparing to ELLE and VENICE, was the magazine that did not show models, but depended on fashion pieces, such as watches. Furthermore, created different story and different approach to the audience.
All magazine have different amount of pages for TOC.
Different fonts format are used in different ideas and relations.
All magazines vary in different amount of articles and pages.
Fashion magazines have no limitation and each creator makes different representations for fashion.
My favorite:
...is ELLE magazine and its TOC as well. It was the most organized in my opinion. It also combined different styles and formats in one, making it unusual, eye-catching. I want my magazine to stand out from others like 'ELLE' did for me. It can approach almost any audience with the use of mixed techniques and methods that were applied in their magazine. This magazine looks simple, yet full of material and content.
