We are doing research in class to choose the best program to use to design the cover of our magazine. I'm now considering three applications: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I'll do some study to find out how each application is used and which one would be best for me to use.

Photoshop

The industry standard for photo editing software, Photoshop is the preferred choice for anything from minor retouching adjustments to innovative picture art. Editors use Photoshop to crop pictures, change the way they seem, fix lighting issues, and give any topic the greatest possible appearance.

This magazine cover has a nice style overall. I discovered it on a website where covers are made using Adobe Photoshop by Arghajit Mitter. The model's appearance complements the cover's color scheme. The cover's arrangement and style appeal to me as well. Remarkably simple but visually appealing.

This example was take form the tutorial on how to create a magazine cover with Photoshop. https://phlearn.com/tutorial/make-magazine-cover-photoshop/

The fact that there are several tutorials on how to create magazine covers in Photoshop makes it a 'pro' already. If I was puzzled about anything or wanted to be inspired and produce something similar, it would be simpler for me.

What I like about this specific example is the way the letter V cuts through, rests on top of, and creates a fantastic effect in the main picture. I'd want to employ or learn this trick for my magazine cover.

Illustrator

An graphics program is called Illustrator. Vector images are produced in Illustrator by graphic artists. As vector graphics are made out of points, lines, forms, and curves rather than a predetermined number of pixels, they may be scaled up or down without losing picture quality.

This illustration was found on a website that offered instructions on using Adobe Illustrator to design magazine covers. That's good since I can always look to the web for help. The disadvantages, though, are that I have never used illustrator and that Photoshop would be better suitable for my production of a magazine cover given that illustrator focuses mostly on graphics.

I appreciate the overall cover's style and design in this instance. If the backdrop of your photographs does not suit you, you may easily make a new one yourself because it is very simple to design one. I appreciate a creative appearance since it attracts attention.

This image was created as part of a YouTube tutorial. Although I can quickly discover examples on YouTube and even follow one, I truly don't want to steal anybody else's original ideas or creative processes.

The design and color palette of this magazine cover appeal to me. seems quite elegant and valuable. Draws my attention. With this lesson I had also learnt how to create letter appear behind the main picture. I want to do something similar with my cover as well.

InDesign

A layout program called InDesign may be used to create print and digital products such as books, magazines, and brochures. Although it is the industry standard editing program for large, multipage documents, it is not just for that purpose.

In this case, I enjoyed watching the lesson for making the cover as much as the cover itself. Making it seems to be quite simple and even enjoyable. This magazine's overall design and the way the elements work together are appealing to me. I think it has a really upscale appearance.

Another another image made with InDesign. It is now one of my top research examples. Despite being so simple, I think it looks awesome. I like the layout, typefaces, monochromatic picture, and everything else about it. The overall aesthetic appeal of everything is excellent. I watched a lesson for this example as well, and it appeared to be fairly easy to reproduce.

Conclusion

I came up with the program I would use for my own magazine cover after looking through several magazine covers in an effort to discover the ones that appeal to me. It is going to be InDesign. I have some experience with Photoshop, but none with Illustrator or InDesign, yet I still think InDesign is the best option for me. InDesign is itself a program that is used for creating and designing magazines.I believe this application would be simpler to use and potentially have useful tools. As I don't have any InDesign expertise, I will also adapt because of that, but I think it will be okay because there are numerous online tutorials.

There is another reason for why I choose InDesign. While researching about this program I found examples of double page spreads, which were very creative and eye pleasing. Here is an example:

I was really impressed by it, and I want to use InDesign for more than just the cover of my own magazine.
